Branford Marsalis Philadelphia Concert reviews
Bret always delivers!
"Considering the past 6 months, I'm grateful for the hour (or so) that we got. Branford was absolutely amazing...so much energy and clearly loves what he does. I wish he would have performed a little bit longer. The set was longer than I would have liked, but the opening act was decent.
I don't know why they wouldn't have just had the start time be 8pm (with gates opening at 7pm instead of 6pm). The show was supposed to start at 7pm and the opening act didn't go on until around 8pm. I was coming from over an hour away to start with and with rush hour traffic that trip ended up taking more than 2 hours. I don't know if there was supposed to be another opening act.
He sounded great, he looked great...the long drive was totally worth it!"
